O'Dwyer Creative Designs Presents Elite Weddings
I love the art of photography. Viewing the work of others as well as making it my own. I have always let fear take precedence in my photography. My first wedding started off the same…..fearful and nervous. Even with the tools and knowledge I have gained, I still let nerves become my driving force. When Katie, a beautiful bride to be, reached out to me and asked if I would photograph her wedding, I told her “no.” I was so afraid, and all these negative self-talk thoughts came into my head. “I have never photographed a wedding,” “This is so important, what if I mess up or don’t produce the quality that Katie deserves?” I told her all my reservations and she said to me, “I don’t care, there is a first for everything, I love your work.” She had more confidence in me than I had in myself, at that moment. So, now, it was a “yes.” That did not stop me from being nervous, but I love photographing, it is special to me. That is what I had to focus on.
I look at Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson’s photos and am so proud. Not just in the photographs, because Katie, Kyle, and their family are amazing and beautiful people. But, also, overcoming fear and having reservations and doubt in myself. This experience has allowed me to appreciate the love and kindness that others express, and has taught me the power of hard work, perseverance, and strength. Katie is a very caring and special person. Her patience is that of a “Saint.” Her photos mean everything to me, just like every photo I have ever put my name on. My heart and soul go into every image I give to people. That is why I have decided to participate in wedding photography. However, it will be an “Elite” service of mine. Meaning, I will only photograph 1 to 2 intimate weddings per year, when I have decided that the time would be appropriate.
Here is a small portion of my favorite photos that will grace my website and be used as a “Look Book.” These are only a few that are their pre-wedding photos. There will be more portraiture, ceremony, family of this handsome couple, still to come. The remaining images are raw, real, and emotional!!!! It is with honor I get to provide these to them. Until then, enjoy the anticipation of more images of this gorgeous wedding in the works. Once the wedding aspect of my Website is completed, it will be used as a spotlight into my favorite works of art.
